APC leaders in Delta buys senatorial form for Emerhor, beg him to unseat Omo-Agege

– APC leaders in Delta have bought nomination and expression of interest forms for Olorogun O’tega Emerhor to contest for Senate

– Emerhor is the leader of the APC in Delta state

– The leaders also begged him to unseat Senator Ovie Omo-Agege who is currently representing the senatorial district in the Senate

The elders and leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC), from Delta central senatorial district, have purchased and presented nomination and expression of interest forms to leader of the party in the state, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor with an appeal on him to unseat the incumbent senator, Ovie Omo-Agege, by joining the senatorial race in the 2019 general election.

Vanguard reports that the leaders, in company of principal officers of the party in the state, hundreds of their supporters and party members, made the presentation to Emerhor, on Sunday, September 9, at his Evwreni country home in Ughelli north local government area of the state.

NAIJ.com gathered that the leaders in an address by Chief Sylvester Sowho during the presentation of the forms, said: “We have gathered here today on behalf of the Urhobo nation to appeal on you, to represent the Urhobo nation in the Senate.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that the senator representing Delta central senatorial district said he would not answer questions thrown at him by an investigative panel set up by the Nigerian Senate on the alleged mace theft.

During a session of joint House of Representatives and Senate panel, Ovie Omo-Agege, said he would not answer questions because the matter was already in court.

It was reported that Omo-Agege told the committee that he has filed a court order restraining the public hearing on the matter. He said any comment from on the subject would only amount to subjudice.
