My cabinet will be ready before May 29, 2019 – Atiku

Former vice president and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has promised that if elected as the next president his cabinet members will be ready before May 29, 2019.

Atiku in a tweet via his official Twitter handle, on Friday, October 12, said he will not take 6 months before naming his cabinet.

The former vice president defeated 11 other political bigwigs to emerge as PDP’s presidential candidate in the 2019 presidential election on Saturday, October 6, at the party’s convention which took place in Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile the PDP presidential candidate,has picked former governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi in Abuja, as his running mate for the 2019 presidential elections.

Obi arrived at Abubakar’s residence in Asokoro neighborhood tn Friday, October 12, and both had undisclosed talks.

Several options have been suggested in the public domain, with the candidate being widely expected to choose from either the southeast or southwest.

In a previous report by, Nigeria’s former vice president and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the forthcoming 2019 elections, Atiku Abubakar, said that he would continue with the legacies of his former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo if he wins.

Atiku said this during the reconciliation meeting with Obasanjo on Thursday, October 11. Atiku was Obasanjo’s vice president from 1999- 2007.

The PDP presidential candidate, who described the visit as historic for himself, Obasanjo and the country, said he could not have been what he was today without the wise counsel of his former boss and the opportunity he offered him to be the vice-president.
