Superstar Dacido is one of the loved Nigerian celebrities on social media for many reasons. Unlike his fellow celebs, Davido shocked many of his fans when he revealed he was registering for the Nigerian Youth Service Corps program in which he joined millions of Nigerian youths to serve the motherland.

Being a loved musician, his arrival at the Lagos camp turned into a party as OBO performed for his fans as well as address them. It became almost a disappointment when he was seen jetting out of the country for a tour shortly after registration. Some complained, saying he was being given preferential treatment.

To correct the misinterpretation, Davido recently put a post on Instagram, announcing that his Locked Up US tour has been cancelled, in order for him to get back to his NYSC program as well as attend to other commitments.

His move surprised many Nigerians who respect him for taking the program seriously and his wanting to bury all seriousness into it. It however still left his US fans heartbroken as they were ready to party in Davido in all tour locations across America.

Davido is one of the celebrities who can turn anything into something great. From the moment he rocked the NYSC uniform, instead of being laughed at, the singer got accolades and even broke the internet with the adorable photos.

Many fans have also reported that OBO is a form of inspiration to them. Asides the fact that he hails from a wealthy background, he still works twice as hard as his colleagues who need to do music to make ends meet.

His zealousness, dedication to music and his love for his woman are top reasons why many admire him. It’s no wonder he has almost eight million followers on Instagram, making him the highest followed Nigerian celeb on the gram.
