Preview: Seychelles vs Nigeria (AFCON 2019 qualifier)

– Nigeria set to take on Seychelles in a crucial Afcon qualifier

– Both sides have never met before in an international match

– Other members of Group E include South Africa and Libya

The Super Eagles will play their first match after the Russia 2018 World Cup as they take on Seychelles in the 2019 Afcon qualifier.

It will be the first time both sides will be playing against each other in Group E that also includes South Africa, and Libya.

Nigeria lost their opening match to South Africa by 2-0 in Uyo while Seychelles were beaten by Libya by 5-1.

The match promises to be a tricky one for the Green and White as both teams need to win to keep their Afcon hopes alive.

Most of the players that were part of the team to Russia made the squad while new players like Chidebere Nwakali, Jamiu Collins, Semi Ajayi and Samuel Kalu are new players invited.

Captain Mikel Obi was excused for the match while Victor Moses retired from international football with Nigeria after eight years.
